Assignment 2:   Devise Your Own Declaration of Independence

Format: 250-400 words

You are to devise your own Declaration of Independence from someone or something of your own choosing. The tone could be serious or whimsical. You must establish a clear sense of purpose and have a defined audience and the essay must be consistent in addressing that audience. Typically, your audience would be the person or thing from which you are declaring your independence. Follow the tone established in the original Declaration of Independence.
