CONNECT Math Transfer Agreement – This agreement outlines the objective, process, agreement, maintenance, and review of the agreement and transfer course equivalencies approved by the mathematics faculty members at the six CONNECT institutions.  Essential topics and transfer course equivalencies are listed in the following Appendices:

Recommendations for Setting Up a Curriculum Alignment Group Similar to the CONNECT Math Project – This one-page document outlines the structure and resources for our group and offers recommendations for establishing similar-type collaborations.

 

Growing a Healthy Sense of Entitlement in Transfer Students: The Critical Role of Faculty (Video) – In her keynote at the 3rd Annual CONNECT Conference, Dr. Becky Wai-Ling Packard discusses the critical role of faculty members in facilitating students pursuing the transfer pathway.  Based on her NSF-funded longitudinal research project focused on STEM Transfer in Massachusetts, she provides research results identifying factors influencing the progress and delay of students.  She emphasized relevant strategies for faculty and colleges to engage in that can improve transfer experiences. 

 

Summary of Mathematics Town Hall Meeting Carousel Activity (2/26/2010) – The Town Hall Meeting Carousel Activity at the 3rd Annual CONNECT Math Conference engaged faculty in a carousel activity which had them think, write, share, and discuss their thoughts and experiences on topics all mathematics instructors deal with.  This document summaries the discourse that occurred during this activity.
